As small batch winemakers, all our wines are hand made, including hand picked whole bunches and hand pressed through a traditional basket press. Norton Road Wines had a successful vintage for 2024 with the whites in bottle (Riesling is about to sell out) and we are just finalising bottling the last reds that have been in barrel. Keep an eye out for our new releases of Grenache, CSM, 2022 Reserve Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon, and our 2022 Estate Pinot Noir.
Vintage 2025 has seen some late rain after a dry winter and certainly the vineyard benefited from it after the dry spell. Every Australia Day weekend we start readying ourselves for vintage with the start of netting. With some warm days and more to come the fruit is looking good. We're very happy with the way the Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc are shaping up, and the Pinot is ripening well after some warm days.
As every year, we have a team of pickers who we are proud to call friends and mates who have gone on the journey with us. They help us net, prune, pick and press. We are so lucky and grateful to all these wonderful people who have been with us since the beginning and support us with their help and their encouragement. It's like our own little cheer squad - you know who you are and we thank you!
